Is there something about the Alabama Supreme Court that attracts radical judges, or is this state just so full of right wing nuts that some of them inevitably end up on our highest court? And no, I'm not talking about Roy Moore (R), but currently sitting Justice Tom Parker (R), who has questioned Barack Obama's birth certificates in an official court document. The court struck down Hugh McInnish's petition to keep Obama off the ballot because of the simple little fact that they don't have jurisdiction. Parker concurred, but felt strongly enough about the merits of McInnish's evidence that he included an "unpublished writing" in the Court's Order to Strike. It reads, in part: Mclnnish has attached certain documentation to his mandamus petition, which, if presented to the appropriate forum as part of a proper evidentiary presentation, would raise serious questions about the authenticity of both the "short form" and the "long form" birth certificates President Barack Hussein Obama that have been made public.
In other words, although we aren't the right court to deal with this, if McInnish will only take this to the right forum there are "serious questions about the authenticity" of not just one, but both of the birth certificates produced by President Obama. Birtherism, right there on the bench of the Alabama Supreme Court. Even before Roy Moore gets his tush back up there. Alabama, we're moving backward at the speed of sound. |
