Why Would Blue-Liners Support A Politico Like Mitt Romney?

If your income has flat-lined, you're a Blue-Liner

ABC News, on Mitt Romney's offshore bank accounts:

Mitt Romney is the richest candidate in a decade, worth not just millions, but hundreds of millions of dollars. 

Under his tax plan, which The Economist called "progressive, by 15th-century standards," a member of the 1% would get an $86,000 tax cut, but an average middle class American would save just $491 -- and Americans earning less than $40,000 a year would actually see their taxes rise under the Romney plan.   

Why on earth would blue-liners (see chart, right) -- many of whom vote Republican -- ever support Willard Mitt Romney?

Blue-liners won't benefit from Romney's tax plan for the wealthy, neither they nor their children are ever likely to be .001%ers like Romney (upward mobility in the US is low) and blue-liners I know despise those who hide money in offshore accounts to avoid paying their fair share in taxes.   

Why do decent, hard-working, middle class Americans -- blue-liners, every one -- keep supporting candidates of, by, and for the 1%, like Mitt Romney?  Enlighten me, please.  This is beyond voting against your interests, it's voting against your family's interests, down the generations.
