That lady has made a small fortune for herself and her kids -- there are serious brains in that folksy blonde head.

Besides, it's the eating season and watching the GOP run the middle class off a cliff on C-SPAN puts me right out of the cooking/eating mood.

I agree that she has brains under whatever wig she's wearing at the moment.  I don't like her emphasis on fatty, caloric-laden foods.

This summer we visited Savannah.  When we came back, everyone asked, "Did you go to Paula Deen's restaurant?"

GOP Hypocrisy on display (0.00 / 0)

Over 50 House Republicans co-sponsored a 2 month payroll tax holiday in 2009.  So much for Boehner's assertion that a 2 month extension is too short.

What happens if the payroll tax cut expires because of Republican dithering?

– According to Macroeconomic Advisers, allowing the payroll tax cut to lapse “would reduce GDP growth by 0.5 percent and cost the economy 400,000 jobs.”

– Barclay’s estimated that letting the cut expire would knock 1.5 percent off of first quarter growth next year.

Republicans kick the economy in the head, one more time.  All they care about is hurting the country, hurting Obama & trying to get re-elected.

What is the issue, so vital that our party will not yeild on it?  What are the Washington folks going to tell the people of Nebraska about their right to protect their state from this abomination? States' rights?  Only when it's convenient.
