Lots of commenters on Huffington Post are pissed off. Not a single one seems to know who Mike Rogers is. If last election wasn't a presidential year he would have been a household name. Hopefully we get that chance in 2010.

You guys are killing me. A guy expresses his opinion about someone as "crazy" and "mean as a snake" and you think he did something wrong and should apologize?

Are we talking about grown adults or schoolyard kids?

Where was your rush to condemn Pelosi when she called Bush a total failure? I mean after all, we are just talking about opinions here that should be apologized for. Nah, Bush is a big boy and he can take the hits and insults.

Nothing like a bunch of liberals getting upset and trying to suppress someone's first amendment  right all because that person called your hero something you don't agree with.

Please do me a favor and try and get passed the schoolyard tactics of "I'm telling on you!!!"

George Bush was a total failure.  The worst terrorist attack on American soil -- on Bush's watch.  The economy collapsed -- on Bush's watch.  Both the national debt and deficit ballooned to unprecedented levels -- on Bush's watch.  Respect for America dropped around the world -- on Bush's watch.  Failure for sure.

Rogers called the Speaker of the House "crazy."  That's a callous, thoughtless insult, and obviously untrue.  He also called her "Tom Delay in a skirt" and we've established she doesn't have much in common with Tom Delay -- certainly not the corruption.

Mike Rogers' comments are unworthy of a Congressman and you cheapen yourself by defending them.

I'm not defending him. I couldn't care less about Mike Rogers or any other GOP member that has drawn your liberal ire.

The funny part: Mike Rogers whining about being in the minority and calling Pelosi crazy.

The even funnier part: You liberals whining that Mike Rogers is whining and should recant his statements.

See why I'm laughing? I'm defending his right to free speech, I don't care what he says. Nor do I care that Pelosi insults Bush, or who insults who. I care about getting things done.

Mike Rogers is just some joke of a politician and you guys cheapen yourselves by giving him a whole diary entry devoted to him.

No one here is challenging Mike Rogers' right to free speech.  Criticizing what he says is a long, long way from sending the authorities to throw him in jail for it.

Personally, I'd challenge either his common sense or his veracity -- or maybe both.  If Speaker Pelosi really is the all-powerful evil (and crazy!) he claims, trashing her in a public forum is on par with poking a hornet's nest with a stick.  Or maybe pissing off Bruce Banner.  If she's not, then he's lying to throw red meat to his ever-shrinking base, and making sure that he has no seat at the table when the grown-ups get together to make decisions.

And if your comments are going to be variations on a theme of "don't get your panties in a wad over it", why waste your time here?  I'm sure you have better things to do.

Rogers has freedom of speech. There are some who disagree with what he says. Since we all have freedom of speech, we can even be critical of statements made by Rogers. I see no hypocrisy in people calling it the way they see it. Pretending you are not a Rogers supporter and attacking those on the blog personally is hypocritical.

Anywho, the one advantage I have over you guys is I don't have the Bush derangement syndrome. Let me give you an example.

 If I ever want to get something said and not get a response to it, all I have to do is mention something slightly favorable about Bush. It puts you guys into tunnel vision and thats all you can think about.

I'm not really sure if you guys will ever get it actually. I can't stand the republican party, I can't stand the democratic party. I can't stand the politics of Washington. And maybe... just maybe one day I'll get bitter enough to do something about it.

Oh, and I do so love getting my 0 ratings from Redeye.
