Crazy Day in Denver

It's almost 100 degrees and there's a guy dressed in a furry bear costume at the front of the protesters' line at Union Station. MSNBC's Chris Mathews is offering up special guests from the Denver area and a group called Recreate '68 is chanting, screaming, and otherwise attempting to disrupt the programming. One on-looker suggested that the protesters should instead try writing. I admire the dedication, though. Hotter than hades and you're working the crowd in a furry bear costume...

The Code Pink Alert ladies are quietly holding court at the perimeter, pink crowns and all. I love their slogan: "Make Out, Not War".

While these protesters are speaking out against the Bush Administration, the War, and society in general, I spotted this sign outside a Wells Fargo Bank building today:

No Parking

I wondered if it was a security issue or do they just not like Democrats?

...Many voters will probably believe it. After all, they couldn't put it on a billboard if it wasn't true. Right? The right wing knows it's a lie but don't care. To them it's just an innovative ad campaign.

The Black Republican forum has about 12 members they are the same 12 you see as TeeVee Talking Pundit Heads in the liberal media.

Jack and Jill politics has a post about C.O.R.E (Congress for Racial Equality) founder and Black Republican Forum member Niger (this is not a typo)Innis is being pimped by Exxon/Mobile.

So Exxon is propping up C.O.R.E. to criticize Democrats on actually wanting to do something about climate change and alternative energy saying it will hurt poor black people somehow (how is not really made clear). It’s an environmental injustice argument gone sour. Katrina showed us all how poor black and brown people will fare if we don’t address climate change immediately.

Don't let the C.O.R.E. website fool you, the present C.O.R.E. is not Niger's (not a typo) Daddy's organization.
