It's that most wonderful time of year when we begin compiling our annual list of the "10 Dumbest Things Said By Alabama Republicans." We expect competition for the 2012 list to be fierce. It'll be tough to choose between the bizarre statements of the tinfoil hat twins (Hugh McInnish and Bill Armistead) and well, pretty much anything Senator Shadrack McGill has ever said in public.
Here are the 2011 "winners" (if you can call them that):
Generally, our LIA bloggers take it easy during the last part of the year. We like to kick back and enjoy our holidays like everyone. But this feature isn't work: it's a guilty pleasure - like a big tub of buttered popcorn at the movies.
In general, we focus on state Republican party officials and state and local GOP elected officials. But if someone is interested in taking on the task of compiling a list of our US Senators & Representatives' crazy talk, we'd love to post it!
