Well, this is truly an astonishing Tweet from Alabama House Speaker Mike Hubbard. He's promising the Alabama Republican Party (or perhaps himself alone) will be our "last line of defense" against the Federal government.

Would that be the same federal government that returns $1.66 in federal money for every $1 we send to Washington?

The same federal government that is mostly responsible for keeping much of the Huntsville economy afloat?

The same federal government that has provided the money for Richard Shelby's pork palaces scattered across the state?

Why yes, campers... I believe it is!

Besides the breathtaking display of hypocrisy on display here, it's also amazing that Hubbard took the time to have this pledge made into a graphic image. Though, from the looks of it, it doesn't appear to have taken that much time....

That the Entire F'n Army Materiel Command - that would be the part of the Army that has the checkbook - is now based in Huntsville.

I hope Huntsville doesn't become the next Fort Sumter...
