John Boehner (Briefly) Says "ObamaCare Is the Law of the Land"

After countless campaign promises, endless angry diatribes, $50 million and thirty-something dead-on-arrival, time-wasting bills last session, it sounded like Republicans were finally calling off their crusade to repeal ObamaCare.

SAWYER:

A couple of other questions about the agenda now.  You have said next year that you would repeal the healthcare vote.  That's still your mission?

BOEHNER:

Well, I think the election changes that.  It's pretty clear that the president was reelected, Obamacare is the law of the land.  I think there are parts of the healthcare law that are gonna be very difficult to implement.  And very expensive.  And as the time when we're tryin' to find a way to create a path toward a balanced budget everything has to be on the table.

Take that, Tea Party!  Speaker John Boehner (R) just politely told you to take your number 1 issue and go to hell.

But, wait!  The Tea Party pushed back ... and Boehner immediately caved.

ObamaCare is law of the land, but it is raising costs & threatening jobs. Our goal has been, and will remain, #fullrepeal.

John Boehner's new-found backbone to stand up to the Tea Party lasted less than an hour. 

Republicans are too cowardly to stand up to the extremists in their party -- and the election didn't change that.
