 Dear Alabamans,

Responses to increase of super rich
and corporate power,
an amendment to the Constitution,
or extreme deadly force.

Our republic can die two ways:
we don’t respond to the control
of super rich and corporations
by amendment to the Constitution
which overturns Citizens United
and related decisions and laws,
or expect inevitable

homemade terrorism.

It’s human behaviour, read
history, ours and the world.

I understand. I live inside a human.

Few super rich see the problem too.

Supreme court majority does not.

Republican party does not see, or it’s
what they want to occur.

Democrats who do not see
they too complicit.

Permit super rich and corporations dominance,

black and white racists
will unite
with the rest of us
to either amend the Constitution
or commit violent revolution.

Do you see your choice
Alabamans?

We gotta get to work
amend the Constitution.

You don’t have to give up
racist attitudes to use rational
self interest.

Reelect and get that _______ back
in the White House, you know they

have to possess twice the talent
to beat out white folk, so use him

to save your homes, pass
affordable single payer health care, lead

your republic to economic health,
and its stated ideals.

You dont do that
I know now what’s wrong with Alabamans.

You not ignorant,
you not stupid,
you crazy

risk republic,
state, family,

disturb
my peace of brain.

I'm all for it (0.00 / 0)

But I want to ask, because I'm planning this year to put my shoulder to the wheel: is constitutional reform a realizable goal in the near term? It seems to me that the electorate is not interested in that issue and is more interested in Obama's nativity, global conspiracies, the economy, the various wars, literal and figurate, that the US is prosecuting.

I understand how important constitutional reform is, but I'm not expert enough to speak publicly on it, so I plan to spend my time on get-out-the-vote efforts. (Keep in mind that I also cannot be partisan in public or in the classroom, as a representative of a state entity.)

So what do readers think? Is constitutional reform an issue to which I should dedicate a large fraction of time, a medium fraction, or a small fraction? Basically, if this is a long-term project, I want to spend my time educating myself and maybe meeting like-minded others.
