If you believe that fact-based, evidence-based, honest policy making can make this a better state and a better country tomorrow than it is today -- for everyone -- you're progressive. What's not to like about that? On the other hand, if you believe government doesn't and won't work for anybody but the super-rich, but should still stick its nose in your personal life, you're probably conservative. That makes sense for the 1%, but the rest of y'all have been snookered.
