Mitt Romney has a house in California. He voted in the 2010 US Senate special election in Massachusetts -- claimed to be living in his son's unfinished basement at the time -- but he's had the house in California for three years. Problem is, it's just a little 3,009 square foot bungalow ... far too small to be a Western White House.
So, Mitt has filed an application with the city to tear down this little house and build a big, fine, new one, two stories and 11,062 square feet, on the same site. Mitt Romney clearly needs a big house to go with his big presidential plans.
Does anyone remember John McCain's how many houses do I have problem in 2008? Or the way the media crucified John Edwards for his big house in North Carolina? Or the criticism of Al Gore for not having a greener house? Will those same house critics have something to say about Mitt's big house?
Or is a big house OK if you're a corporate-friendly Republican?
