Judge Roy Moore May Run for President

by: mooncat

Roy Moore

Emerging from his secret, off-year lair, Roy Moore delicately sniffs the tea leaves and decides that this time may be the right time for the Roy and his Rock traveling medicine show.

Because Sarah Palin, Michelle Malkin and Donald Trump just aren't delivering enough crazy for Republicans in 2012.

OMG (4.00 / 3)
That will really help Alabama's image - not

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.
Edmund Burke

It's not enough that that bozo (4.00 / 2)
Had to poison the tree at Toomer's Corner.  Oh, no we needed this, too...

What do you suppose precipitated this, really? (4.00 / 2)

Could it have been a prophetic visitation, perhaps in a dream?

Could it have been... a vision in which Ron Spark's Mustache came unto Roy, and spake unto him, saying "Thou art the one.  Thy time is at hand".

Or, maybe it said "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, Boop-Diddy-Diddy, Boop-Diddy-Doo."

If you're Roy Moore, and you see all these raving fameballs prancing around and getting attention instead of yourself, then any vision that comes along is going to tell you "You gotta get a piece o' this!"

Secret service (4.00 / 3)

Do these bozos get Secret Service protection once they announce, or do they have to win a few primaries, or what?

By the way, I think we should be calling him "Ex-Judge Roy Moore" or even "Deposed Judge Roy Moore."

Myself, I like "Rapid Roy" (4.00 / 2)
The old Jim Croce song goes through my head every time I hear about Roy Moore.

The president can order SS protection (4.00 / 1)
If the situation seems to warrant it. Jesse Jackson has SS protection in 1984 during the primary.  I remember them checking my purse & bookbag when I heard Jackson speak at Auburn.

Not worried (4.00 / 2)
All he could muster up would be insane voters that support Westboro and the like. He doesn't really want to be president. He just wants to write & sell another book.

October 2012 was the 332nd consecutive month with a global temperature above the 20th century average. The last month with below-average temperature was February 1985. - N.O.A.A.

I think you're overlooking an important point here (4.00 / 2)

Which is, that "insane voters that support Westboro and the like" may very well comprise a majority of Republican voters these days.

As an aside, he may want to sell another book, but he also knows his fan club will come through with campaign contributions every time he runs for anything.  This is Roy's new job: professional candidate.

Work harder and work smarter!

Quite the shakedown artist, isn't he, our Roy?n/t (4.00 / 1)

Bachmann the Batshit Crazy Clown

Roy the Religion Clown

Haley the Klan Klown

Mitt the Magic Underwear Clown

Newt the Nuptial Clown

Huck the Hype Clown

Clowns everywhere!  Release the balloons.  Let's herf the helium!

beat me to it (4.00 / 1)
I was going to note a possible error in Mooncat's post. She mentioned Roy's traveling medicine show, but if the GOP is saddled with the likes of Trump, Bachaman, Palin, & Moore, they'll need a clown car to drive them all around.

Nice rundown of the GOP Presidential Field (4.00 / 2)

The 2012 Clown Parade looks even more entertaining than the 2008 GOP Clowns.

Awesome pic (0.00 / 0)
I really don't see how Obama can lose in 2012. Especially when the GOP vs Tea clown wars get underway.

Roy Moore graduated from West Point in 1969 (0.00 / 0)

I did not know that.

He served in the Military Police and left the Army in 1974 with the rank of Captain.  In the Military Police he served at Fort Benning, in Germany, and in South Vietnam.

What percentage of West Point graduates leave 5 years after graduation?  Lots, or just a few?

Re Westpoint (4.00 / 1)

I didn't realize what a sweet gig it is to get into Westpoint. Free  tuition, room and boared plus spending money in your pocket. What a  great opportunity for young some young Americans. That Roy only served  for 5 years after graduation could say a couple of things.

1) Per  Wiki, in his auto-biography, he was so strict with the MP unit that he  commanded that he was afraid of being fragged and slept on sandbags to  avoid a grenade being tossed under his cot. Maybe he had reached the limit of his peter-limit.

2.) He was sucking the government tit. Minimum service post Westpoint is 5 years.
