Mean Old "Lefties" are Attacking Tim James

by: mooncat

This, of course, was the whole reason for Tim James' ridiculous "English Only" ad ... he needed an opportunity to whine about liberals being mean to him:

"I have come under attack and under assault by a very interesting group of far left reporters," James, a Republican candidate for governor, told a few dozen supporters at his Jefferson County headquarters in Vestavia Hills.

Yes, the James ad was widely mocked and ridiculed by the likes of Rachel Maddow, CNN, the New York Times, the LA Times a few dozen other papers and a variety of blogs such as the one you're reading.  Now the liberal, lefty circle is complete.  That known hotbed of liberalism, the Mobile Press-Register, is criticising James' for pandering to "certain segments" of the electorate:

Unfortunately, both he and Alabama come off like bumpkins who demean other cultures out of ignorance and arrogance.

Presto!  We have a new definition of "far left."  Anyone who criticizes Tim, son of Fob, is a lefty.  Welcome to the club, mainstream media!

What does Tim James expect? (4.00 / 1)
His TV ads are just plain stupid. Nothing he says makes any sense. I want anyone driving in Alabama to know the rules of the road, no matter where they come from. Nobody is trying to make things easier for sexual predators. A simple letter to Tim James' elected officials, from Tim James, would get the 90 day bill into play in Montgomery. I can just see this idiot in a meeting, trying to get a company to locate in Alabama, with the CEOs scratching their heads, wondering why James keeps bowing his head down and babbling on about something irrelevant. Will someone please go by Tim James a coloring book and some crayons to keep him occupied? Because he could make a much better case to convince people he would make for a good governor by going on TV and saying "I can draw a cat" than the mindless rhetoric he's using now.

The 2011 surface temperatures (World Temperature) was 0.51°C (0.92°F) above the 20th century average. This marks the 35th consecutive year, since 1976, that the yearly global temperature was above average. - N.O.A.A.

Hey, man, that's pretty impressive.

I think James must actually love all this. (4.00 / 1)
It gives him much more oportunity to demagogue to his base about evil people like bloggers, Rachael Maddow and Nancy Pelosi.  And guess who is getting talked about? Why him of course.

This is what it was all about! (0.00 / 0)
Seriously, King Cockfight nailed the James motive behind the stupid ads.  He needed an enemy and up until now he'd just been roundly ignored by everybody.  Bradley Byrne has been running against AEA and Paul Hubbert, but Tim James had no one to victimize him.  Now we're it.  Us and those flaming liberals on the editorial board of the Mobile Press-Register.

Work harder and work smarter!

Oh, he got us some national attention! (4.00 / 1)

I was with my guild in WoW last night for a raid, and I was simultaneously having a private conversation with a high school friend who also played.  One of my "whispers" to him accidentally got published to raid chat-- one where I was quoting King Cockfight's analysis of how disapproving of "kid diddlers" was implied exclusive to businessmen-- and one of my guildies from Alaska piped up and said, "Tim James?"

It was followed by a snark comment regarding Ted Stevens and Sarah Palin.

But yeah, I'm the only person in that guild from Alabama, and several of them had heard about Tim James.  Some were concerned that he might actually have a shot at governor since they hadn't actually heard about any of the other candidates other than Artur Davis, and I reassured them that he's just as much a joke here as he is there as of right now.

"Tim James Speaks English" topped 30,000 views yesterday (4.00 / 1)
and shows no sign of slowing down. James's idiocy has gone global.

Fantastic! (0.00 / 0)
I'm shocked that so many people outside Alabama are interested in our most ridiculous politicians.

Work harder and work smarter!

Mooncat, that "specific demographic" of white Alabamians has an affinity to vote for idiots, plain and simple.  They will allow themselves to be hoodwinked into chasing after their own tails because the demogague told them that "it's the boogeyman".  Until that certain demographic of Alabamians stop playing dumb and listening to a bonafide fool then it will continue to only see medicre prosperity in this state only in the urban areas like Greater Birmingham and Huntsville with the remainder hobbling along like a cripple...
