I'm still moved by the images and stories coming from Haiti, and have tried my best to find the best way to donate. LIA's Amazon.com idea is utterly brilliant, and I'd expect no less from people who are willing to hunt down that ole fool Parker Griffith and give him a piece of your mind.
In honor of my very ill grandmother, Hazel Bacon, I proudly purchased an Amazon Kindle, along with a leather cover for it, so hopefully my $288.99 purchase will help out, through Doctors Without Borders, some folks who need it in a most ungodly way.
I'm reaching out to friends and family to do the same thing from LIA's website, and I encourage you to do the same.

Here's how to make a small contribution to the Haiti relief effort without spending any extra money! For every purchase made through Amazon via the Left in Alabama link here on the far right hand column, we'll donate a dollar to Doctors Without Borders for their Haiti relief efforts.
A dollar may not sound like much, but before the earthquake, 55% of Haitians lived on less than $1.25 per day.
This offer is valid through February 14th! So keep LIA and Haiti in mind when you're purchasing that romantic gift for your special someone...
If you're a regular Amazon customer, we certainly hope you're going through the link here at the Left in Alabama site because we receive a small percentage commission when you do that. The dollars add up and help us purchase better video equipment, throw a holiday party, and more.
