Support for Same-Sex Marriage by Age and State

Hrm... (4.00 / 2)

As discouraging as it is to see our state at the bottom of that list, it is also encouraging to see that the trend holds-- the younger the population, the more support.

It tells me that even a state like Alabama can progress in time.

Isn't it interesting that every southern state and texas and utah are less than 50% for the  youth as well. West virginia seems to be the state that crosses over 50% first. And it is the most northern.

Why am I not surprised? (4.00 / 2)

I mean most young people like myself leave our state when we graduate from high school or college, so the only ones still here are by the majority either high school or college drop-outs with an affinity for the social conservative ways.  Hence why the statistic is so low for my age group.  I know I'm a college graduate, but I don't know many that have done the same and stayed...

I don't know what we need to do to change this statistic.
