One Redeye Rant Leads to Another Redeye Rant

by: Redeye

Thu Jul 16, 2009 at 19:36:41 PM CDT

Before I move on to a new rant, let me tie up some lose ends from my previous WTF rant.

I wasn't asking goppers and righty's WTF was wrong with the democratic party etc., but I'm glad they responded because their answers were very insightful, and now we know exactly W, T, F, we are dealing with. So now that we know, WTF are we going to do about it?

I learned big money controls who controls the media, and high priced campaign strategist/consultants are over payed and out of touch.  Psst!  Future democratic candidates! In the future if you need some real campaign *ahem* strategerie, drop us a line here at LiA.  We'll give you honest, competent advice free of charge for the sake of our country.

Yo, Democratic party big wigs and democratic candidates!  It's perfectly ok to wallow in the mud with the rest of pigs (right ph?).  There is nothing wrong with a good roll in the mud.  To paraphrase my Daddy, find a good mud pen and jump in.  No more Mr/Ms Nice Guy or Girl.  Bring it on.  You feel me?  The media loves to cover pigs wallowing in mud. :)

Another Redeye Rant below the fold...

Redeye :: One Redeye Rant Leads to Another Redeye Rant

Today Lil Lindsey Graham had the audacity to tell Judge Sonya Sotamer that her "wise Latina remark bugged the hell out of him."

Well let me tell you what bugs the hell out of me about YOU Lil Lindsey.

Lil Lindsey, it bugs the hell out of me whenever I see your smug face on my TeeVee.

Lil Lindsey, it bugs the hell out of me everytime I hear your southern drawl.

Lil Lindsey, it bugs the hell out of me that you were one of the House Impeachment managers that impeached former President Bill Clinton for trying to conceal getting a BJ.

Lil Lindsey, it bugs the hell out of me that you are a sitting United States Senator.

Lil Lindsey, YOU and the rest of your gop brethern bug the hell out me.  OK?

Lil Beau Peep is full of sound and fury signifying NOTHING.  After all his bullying and blustering he's not going to hold up the Sotomayor confirmation vote.  I wonder if this could be the reason why?

President Obama is free to go hard left with his next Supreme Court appointment. That's the lesson of the failed attacks on nominee Sonia Sotomayor during this week's Senate confirmation hearing.

Racially-tinged inferences, snide liberal bashing and the shameless pandering to anti-intellectual sentiment that once won the day for Republicans are now falling flat. The Sotomayor nomination has proved to be yet another test case for the efficacy of traditional conservative attack lines.

*Snicker*

Cluless Bitter Old White Guys and Stupid White Men are running the country and the media.  Therein lies the problem.

Redeye rant over and out.

All the links above the fold seem to go to scour.com (4.00 / 2)

Below the fold seems OK.

Oh, and whenever Lindsey Graham gets on my nerves, which is whenever I see his mug on the teevee or hear his smarmy voice, I just think of Huckleberry Hound.

That helps.

Huckleberry Hound you say?  LOL!

Pat Buchanan was on Rachel Maddow (4.00 / 1)

They were discussing the nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the US Supreme Court -- and affirmative action.  PB was against that, of course.  Several times Rachel pointed out that 108 out of 110 Supreme Court Justices have been white and 108 out of 110 Supreme Court Justices have been male.  She asked him if he thought that meant that white people and men were the most qualified people to be judges.

PB argued and obfuscated and brought up a lot of extraneous stuff, but this is what I took away from his rant:

Black people are good at track and field.  White people are good at being judges.

At the end, Rachel told PB he was dating himself and sounded very 1950's.

Get Out!!!! (4.00 / 2)

Last night Pat Buchanan was on Hardball with Chris Matthews spewing the same stuff.

Seriously,  Jeff Lieber at the Daily Kos calls him The Imperial Wizard of MSNBC.

First to the people who run MSNBC: When Patrick goes on camera, who holds his purple sheet with the Mystic Insignia Of A Klansman over the right breast? Does he have a hook in the green room and there's like, an intern, whose forced to valet park flaming cross?

Let's just boil down Pat's comments to thier essence: (4.00 / 2)

"Black people are good at running.  White people are good at putting black people in jail."

He didn't say "where they belong" - but how else does he keep the "lower orders" in thier place?

Wallowing in the mud (4.00 / 1)

Truer words were never spoken:

The media loves to cover pigs wallowing in mud. :)

The more candidates or campaigns (or parties) mix it up, the more local media will cover it.  Surprised to hear they give precedence to conflict?  I can't imagine why.  These are the same people whose unofficial motto is "If it bleeds, it leads."

Maybe you don't need to physically make your opponent bleed (I'm not advocating physical violence here) but you need to draw some figurative blood from his or her campaign to get the media to notice you.

Work harder and work smarter!

When Pat says that we need to defend the "white working class Americans" (4.00 / 2)

He's riffing on his day in the Nixon White House.  This is the Nixon approach of telling Southern whites that they are weakened by sharing water fountains with people of color.  Not to mention schools.

And Southern whites hate nothing more than being accused of weakness - except realizing they've been conned by Yankees.

Just sayin.

Nixon's Southern Strategy (4.00 / 1)

PB's involvement in the Nixon White House had slipped my mind.  No wonder racist remarks roll off his tongue so effortlessly.

If you haven't read Impossible, Ridiculous, Repugnant about racism and the rise of the Republican Party in the South, well it's a job you need to do.

Work harder and work smarter!

Didn't Huckleberry Hound (0.00 / 0)

oh, excuse me, Lindsay Graham promise to drown himself if Barack Obama became president?

For instance, there was the matter of Senator Lindsey Graham. In the fervor of the final week of the campaign, Graham basically promised to drown himself if Barack Obama took North Carolina. When I wrote that we did not really expect Graham to follow through, a number of readers took exception.

“A promise is a promise,” wrote John Kaseley of Bonita Springs, Fla.

“Can’t we at least throw him in the lake?” asked someone else.

Yet another broken GOP promise....  ;-)

I'm not short.  I'm fun size!!
