What Happened to Mr. Roger's Neighborhood?

Sorry, this post is quick and dirty, our VP debate festivities are about to start!  There's good news!  From the Segall campaign:

Montgomery, AL – A new poll by Capital Survey Research Center shows third district incumbent Congressman Mike Rogers's support dipping significantly.

The poll, which surveyed 471 likely voters, puts Rogers at 44.9% and Democratic challenger Josh Segall at 36.4%, with 18.7% undecided.

In early August, Capital Survey Research Center had Rogers at 54% and Segall at 33%.

"We're seeing these numbers move because people are learning about Mike Rogers's record and about my plan to put Alabama first for a change," said Segall. "People in this district want a Congressman who's going to replace the jobs Mike Rogers sent overseas."

Thanks for this, Melissa . . . (4.00 / 2)
Easy for this tightening of the race to get lost in the shuffle tonight.

This is good, and interesting news.

I've got a diary on this also (4.00 / 2)

HUGE (4.00 / 2)
This is huge news!  Rogers has DROPPED almost 10 points!  Segall's ads have been effective.

What Happened to Mr. Roger's Neighborhood (4.00 / 1)
Maybe, just maybe, people are catching on to Mike's true stand on issues for his district- federal free volunteer firetrucks for the masses.

Very promising (0.00 / 0)
The first sign of an incumbent in trouble is his support shifting to the undecided column.  People don't switch from A to B overnight -- they get some doubts, they start to look at options, then maybe they change.  This is one of the hurdles Josh Segall had to overcome to beat Rogers and it looks good.  Voters in the 3rd district have a little more than 30 days to convince these wavering voters that he'll do a better job for them than Mike Rogers.

Work harder and work smarter!
