Dear SDEC Members,
As We celebrate the election Victories of many local Democratic candidates in the 2012 General Election and celebrate the second inauguration of President Barack Obama, our state party staff and I are already hard at work to ensure more victories in 2014.
Republicans say that the 2010 election was the end of the Alabama Democratic Party but while they continue their war on women, children, the sick and elderly, and middle class families, we are committed to a path that will lead to better days ahead.
Voter registration, candidate recruitment, fundraising, and sharing the ideals that we stand for cannot wait. The journey toward 2014 has already begun.
Communicating and sharing our message and commitment to building a better Alabama will make us stronger. Committing to walk that extra mile, to leave no rock unturned, and believing -- not hoping, but belìeving -- that we shall overcome will inspire all of us to work for victory.
As I travel throughout this great state and see the determination in the faces of our fellow Democrats to fight on, I am inspired.
Your Chairman,
Judge Mark Kennedy
