The polls are closed in Alabama.  Cheers, jeers, tears ... post 'em if you've got 'em.

Isn't Shelby up for re-election next? (4.00 / 5)
When will he be running again and is there anyone who could credibly challenge him? Going over the ballot prior to the election I was terribly disappointed at all of the races where there was no Dem opposition to the repubs. I'm a firm believer in Howard Dean's strategy that there be a challenger in each and every race.

Sessions is up in 2014 (4.00 / 2)
Shelby just got a new 6 year term in 2010.  More is the pity.

Romney can't win (4.00 / 3)

Right now, Romney hasabout as much chance of winning as someone buying one lottery ticket and hitting the jackpot.

+2 for the good guys in the Senate. (at this hour)

All in all a good day for Democrats. No 3-4 million dirty air jobs so it's a good day for the whole planet.

4 more years (4.00 / 3)
Thank you, America!

ok... so who was watching Fox News (4.00 / 2)

during the Karl Rove/Ohio meltdown?

Best time I've EVER had watching Fox.

a "classy campaign?" (4.00 / 2)
Fox just called colorado for Obama. And now the analysts are just bumfuzzled.... Direct quote: "Romney ran a classy campaign.... and ultimately came up short."

I swear I'm not making that up.

Good day overall (4.00 / 3)
President Obama is relected and the Democrats gained 3 seats in the US Senate.  I'm just worried about Alabamians decision to bring back Roy Moore.  That is a nightmare.

Time (4.00 / 4)
Now is the time to start thinking about 2014 and finding viable candidates to run against the repubs.

Well, you will be waiting for awhile (0.00 / 0)
The mentality of anti-diversity, anti-female, and anti-progression has gained steam.  This is the reason why regression continues with Alabama's policy and decisionmaking.

Romney's concession speech (4.00 / 3)

He did an excellent job with it and I am really glad that he had an opportunity to give such a fine one.

We need more viable Democratic in Alabama. I do not think that we have one statewide elected Democratic. Lots of room for improvement.
