Vote for Bob Vance - He Won't Embarrass Alabama

Judge Bob Vance sent one last email today in his campaign to become Alabama's next Chief Justice:

Today is election day! If you have not already done so, please go vote - and be sure to Vote Bob Vance for Chief Justice. Bob will be a Chief Justice with No Agenda, and No Politics. More importantly, Bob will be a justice who will follow the law! No man is above the law.

If you agree with us will you please help us? Today is the last time we will ask you for money - but we need just $1,199 to surpass our goal of raising $50,000 online. Don't you want to be the one who pushes us over the top?

Here are some other things Bob won't be doing:

• Embarrassing the State of Alabama
• Putting his personal opinions above the rule of law
• Riding to the polls on a horse [link]

"Won't embarrass Alabama" sounds like kind of a low bar for a man seeking authority over the state court system ... until you look at Vance's opponent.  In truth, Vance could pass a much higher bar -- he is a widely respected judge -- but in this case, "won't embarrass us" is plenty.
