Where do I vote? Google knows...

by: roboticcats

First time voter? Have you moved recently? Google can help. They have a special tool to help you find your polling place. Be sure to check before you leave home.

Ignore my mother, countrycat, who insists on voting at the crack of dawn. Just make your voice heard.

Try to vote before 5 pm since polling place closing times vary by county.

Happy voting!

And if you need a ride to the polling place ... (4.00 / 1)

In most places your local Democratic Party can fix you up.  It's best to call ahead (like today) and let them know you need a lift because they'll be really busy tomorrow.

As far as when to vote, the lines are usually shortest mid-morning and mid-afternoon.  Expect crowds early as people try to vote before work, around noon and again late in the day as people get off work.

Hours may vary in some places, but in Alabama polls are supposed to be open from 7 am to 7 pm.  Doesn't mean they all will be, but they're supposed to be.

Work harder and work smarter!

Remember also (4.00 / 2)
If you're IN LINE when the polling place closes, you have a right to vote.  (Just make sure you're at the right polling place.)
